Hi... We last visited WDW in 2009. One of the highs of our visit was a pontoon boat ride from the Polynesian Resort to see the Elec. Light Show and the MK Fireworks show. Has the "Pirates and Pals Voyage" replaced this option?

    Hello Robert.

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

The Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is a fantastic experience for the whole family. It used to be offered only as a 'Grand Gathering' option for parties of 8 or more guests, which is why you may not have heard of it in the past. It became so popular and well-received that Walt Disney World decided to increase the frequency of the voyage and make it available to all! I highly recommend it if you haven't experienced it yet. This voyage usually includes viewing of the Electric Water Pageant as well as Wishes, on top of Disney Trivia, character meet and greets and more!

If a private, quiet viewing of Wishes from out in the Seven Seas Lagoon is more your style, then you absolutely are still able to arrange this for your travel party. Specialty Cruises are available nightly and depart from Disney's Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge for spectacular viewings of the Electric Water Pageant and Wishes. Simply call (407) WDW-PLAY to reserve your pontoon boat today. I recently reserved one for my husband's 40th birthday and we had a fabulous time. Although the cruise includes light snacks and soft drinks, you can arrange for additional specialty items to be delivered to your pontoon by Private Dining. A Cast Member can give you full details and pricing when you call in.

If you have additional questions about either of these fantastic cruises, please feel free to write me back any time. I'd love to hear from you again Robert!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
