Our last trip we stumbled upon the Pirate's league and had a ball getting dressed up in full make up with our 7 year old son and he loved the Jedi Training at Hollywood studios We need to find another hidden gem like those for this year...suggestions?

    Hello, Jeff,

You certainly did stumble into some amazing opportunities at Walt Disney World for your son!  Since he liked the Pirate's League, how about the Pirate Adventure Cruise where he can hunt for treasure at the Seven Seas Lagoon? Similarly, the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Voyage is a treat for the whole family to enjoy a night of laughter, treats, and an evening on the water watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Disney's Family Magic Tour is another fun experience for families as they set out on a scavenger hunt throughout the Magic Kingdom.

Fort Wilderness Archery can be a different experience for children, and there is also the Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long (free!) for a relaxing evening under the stars.

When your son turns 8, there is the Wild Africa Trek where your entire family can actually have a 3 hour private safari with a chance to explore more of the areas seen when on Kilimanjaro Safari.

And finally, for a chance for a smaller group experience, how about renting Sea Raycers to explore the Seven Seas Lagoon? Similarly, my sons loved Sammy Duvall's - Parasailing. It is pretty amazing to feel as if you are flying at Walt Disney World!

Wishing you a magical trip!  -Kara
