My last ? was not answered, but I found the answer on own. I hope this one is answered. I am planning our 1st trip 06/18-06/25. Have a 5 day pass for 3 adults and 2 kids. Can anyone help with an Itinerary. We want to 1 day @ DTD as well. A bit overwhelmed.

    Hi Rebecca!

I'm sorry to hear your last question wasn't answered; unfortunately we sometimes get more questions than can be answered within a certain time period.  Thanks for giving the Moms Panel another chance.

Since it's your first trip, I suggest getting a good tour book.  My two favorites are "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" co-authored by Len Testa and "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Mike and Julie Neal.  Both are great.  If you can only get one, however, then I suggest going with the Neal's book.  I think it's a great book for the first time visitor as it has just enough details, and it is full of beautiful pictures to help give you an idea of what there is to do at Walt Disney World.

For a general itinerary, I recommend spending 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, and 2 days in Epcot.  Both of those parks are large with a lot of attractions.  I think 1 day each in Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom is enough, though if you like them, you will definitely have time to go back and do your favorite attractions in those two parks.  You might also consider one of the water parks.  My two sons, ages 11 and 6, absolutely love Typhoon Lagoon and always want to visit it on every trip to Walt Disney World.  For more advice with regards to an itinerary, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  There you can access the crowd calendar to get a feel of the crowd levels predicted for each park.  TouringPlans.com is the team behind the "Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  Their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I'm a big fan of their work.

Enjoy planning and write back to me if you have any more questions!
