Last fall we took our then 2yo dd to chef mickeys character dinning for dinner. she was overwhelmed by the crowd noise and the characters. is there a better time to eat at chef mickeys for our next visit? or an alternative? dd will be 3 for this years trip

    Hi Nathan!

I can certainly understand your concern for your daughter.  Chef Mickey's is the most popular character dining restaurant at Walt Disney World, so I'm afraid no matter when you go it will be pretty busy.  However, in my experience, it usually starts quieting down closer to closing time.  This may not be an option for you since your daughter is only 3 and eating at 9pm is pretty late, but if you can swing it, I definitely thing it's worth it.  Let the hostess know about your daughter and ask to be sat at a table out of the way.  There are nice separated rooms up a few stairs and to the left that are much quieter than the main dining room.  I think this will significantly help your daughter have a better time.

    Have a magical day!
