What could we do on our last day in down town Disney ? Myself and 8 year old granddaughter . Out flight doesn't leave until 6:39

    Hi Wendi,

A day at Downtown Disney can be a fun way to cap your Disney vacation. There's plenty to do for all ages.

On the West End, you might want to try the new Splitsville bowling alley or catch a movie at AMC Downtown Disney 24. If you're brave, you can soar 400 feet in the Characters in Flight balloon. (I'm terrified of heights, but did this for the first time recently and loved the amazing view). There's fun shopping in this section, including the Candy Cauldron.

The Pleasure Island section is fairly quiet during the day, but we enjoy Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant for lunch or the quick service Cookes of Dublin.

The Marketplace section of Downtown Disney will be the most lively. The Lego sculptures and store are a hit with most kids, and the World of Disney store is huge. Your granddaughter could customize a souvenir shirt at Design-a-Tee, and she's sure to love Tren-D.

Other shopping includes stores specializing in toys, Christmas, pins, art, candy and sports-themed apparel.

For lunch here, you might choose among the Rainforest Cafe, the dinosaur-themed T-Rex, The Earl of Sandwich and a Wolfgang Puck Express. The table service Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe is in the West End.

I love finishing off a Disney vacation with a sundae from the Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop.

I hope that gives you some ideas. I'm sure you and your granddaughter will make many wonderful memories during your trip. Enjoy!
