    Louise from Hants Asked

We are a large family and have been looking at booking two Wilderness Lodge cabins (each with 2 adults and 2 children) and my parents (nanny and grandad) stay in the Wilderness Lodge hotel - they will want a bit more luxury :) Is the WL hotel very close by

    Hi Louise!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm not a very big fan of the outdoors or of camping, but I absolutely love both The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort as well as Disney's Wilderness Lodge because both provide a bit of nature and beauty with all of the comforts of air conditioning and WiFi.

I have good news! Yes, these two Disney Resort Hotels are located close to each other. Not close enough for walking distance, mind you. But, both usually share a Magical Express Bus from Orlando's International Airport, so your family could all be together until just before check-in at your individual Resort Hotels. Even better, these two Disney Resort Hotels are connected via a complimentary Water Taxi! This boat launch makes a continuous loop between stops at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can take this boat to catch the Monorail at the Contemporary, or to meet up to dine at the wonderful locations at these three Resort Hotels. (My personal favorites are Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge and the Brunch Buffet at Trail's End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness.)

    I hope this helped, Louise!
