We will be landing around noon and are planning to take the Magical Express to AoA. I was hoping to pick up a snack/lunch on the way down to the ME (my 2yr old will need something to munch on). Are we allowed to eat on the bus ride to our resort?

Hello Rebecca!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Starting out a Walt Disney World Resort vacation by using Disney's Magical Express is truly a reminder of the how the Magic is Endless.  If it makes my airport experience quick and easy, then magic must be involved!

If you have not already done so, you can sign-up for Disney's Magical Express online or through Guest Services at (407)939-1936.

After a long flight, I concur that the need to refresh and refuel at the terminal is crucial.  I contacted Disney's Magical Express on your behalf and their official policy is that there is no eating or drinking on the motorcoach.  In the past, my family has picked up a snack or two (and coffee for dad) and munched while making our way down to Disney's Magical Express.  With a leisurely pace, we usually have ample time to enjoy our snacks and precious caffeine before boarding.

Personally, I would recommend a quick snack and waiting until you arrive at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  Having stayed there last year, a relaxing lunch at Landscape of Flavors would be a fantastic way to start your vacation.  The food is varied, delicious and worth the wait!

One thing that was not offered at Art of Animation Resort when my family visited last year was renting a Surrey bike for a cruise along the trail surrounding Hourglass Lake.  My (then) 2-year old would have loved riding with big sister in the front child seats while Mommy and Daddy cruised through the wonderfully themed Cars section of the resort.  And yes, Daddy would have to make car noises the entire time!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
