Hello Ladies! I am planning a family trip in March 2015. We are a family of 5 (5, 3 and 2 years old) and my parents-in-law will be joining us from UK. What would you suggest are the best accommodation options? Thanks for your help!

    Hello Zoe,

You can make request for adjacent (next to each other) or connecting (with an internal door) rooms at any of the Disney resort hotels. Your group of seven could be accommodated in two rooms anywhere on property. Your least expensive option will likely be two connecting rooms at a value level resort. The All Star Movies, Music and Sports hotels are the cheapest. The moderate and deluxe level resorts will give you more space and better amenities, but will have an increased price. My family's favorite is the Beach Club resort which gives walking distance access to two theme parks and has the best pool at Walt Disney World, particularly for small kids.

If you're looking for more comfort, your best option would be a two-bedroom villa at one of the Disney Vacation Club resorts. Two-bedroom villas sleep up to eight or nine people, have a full kitchen, and a living room sitting area. These are available at Saratoga Springs, Bay Lake Tower (Contemporary), Beach Club, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand Floridian, Old Key West, and Wilderness Lodge Resorts. You could also get a one-bedroom villa for your family (many sleep five) which would give you the kitchen and sitting area, and then have your in-laws stay in a regular room or studio villa in the same hotel.

A unique option might be a Treehouse Villa located at the Saratoga Springs resort. These have three separate bedrooms, a kitchen, and both indoor and outdoor sitting areas. This is one of the most comfortable situations I've encountered for multi-generational travel.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
