Hi Krista! I saw that you had traveled with a guest in a wheelchair - I will be doing the same and wanting to plan a trip with my husband, wheelchair bound, paralzyed armpits down, and two children 11 and 8 - which resort would you reccommend

Hi, Dana! While traveling with a wheelchair Guest can seem overwhelming at times, I assure you that Walt Disney World is one of the most accommodating places on earth! Not knowing your budget, I will recommend a resort in each of the three categories. When we go to Walt Disney World, the room is often just a place to sleep.  Value Resorts serve that purpose at a reasonable cost. Pop Century Resort is a favorite Value Resort for adults and kids alike. If you are looking for more time at the resort, then I would consider upgrading to a Moderate Resort. Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a favorite.  It has a great main swimming pool complex themed like an old fort with water cannons and a fun slide. If you are wanting to get the most possible out of a resort and the budget allows a Deluxe resort, then the Polynesian Resort is the one for you. It has great atmosphere, a great pool, and location, location, location! Being on the monorail line makes getting around that much easier. You are a short ride to Magic Kingdom, and you can use the monorail to get to Epcot. It also allows you to push a stroller or wheelchair onto the cabin without making your Guest transfer. Another great location is at the Yacht & Beach Club or the Boardwalk. These resorts use boats to take guests to and from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
