I know there are 2 viewing areas for Rivers of Light. Which viewing area should we go to since we were unable to get fast passes or the dining package for the show? Also how long before the show do they let people in to find seats? Thanks!

    Hi Susanne,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

On our last visit, we did the Rivers of Light Dining Package with Tusker House restaurant. The entrance for dining package guests with reserved seating was on the DinoLand side, close to Finding Nemo - The Musical. Cancellations do happen, so I encourage you to keep checking Fast Pass+ and dining package availability prior to your visit. If you have not tried already, search for dining package availability at different times during the day. The reserved seating area was fabulous. The standby entrance was also on the DinoLand side on our last visit. With our reserved seating, we were instructed to arrive 15 - 35 minutes prior to show time. If you have to do the standby line, I would arrive at least 90 minutes before show time, depending on crowds. When you arrive, I suggest asking a cast member to confirm the time that they will start allowing guests into the theater.

The amphitheater for the show is beautifully designed. Check out this Disney Parks Blog post, "All in the Details: Storytelling at Rivers of Light's Discovery River Amphitheater." Because of the details in this show, I recommend sitting as close to the front of the amphitheater as possible. On our last visit, we took a photo with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. So keep an eye out and get the photographer's attention to come take your photo if you can!

Susanne, I am sending you pixie dust trusting you will get to see the show!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
