I know at sit down restaurants inside Disney world adults cannot order off kids menus. My question is about the quick-service restaurants, can adults order kids meals for breakfast? I dont eat much at breakfast and the kids breakfast plater sounds perfect.

    Hi, Brandie!

Ordering at a Walt Disney World Quick Service restaurant is very different than ordering at a Table Service location, so this is a great question!

Frankly, we always send one adult to order for the entire family, with another adult taking the kids to find a table. We've had combinations of light eaters, heavy eaters, those who already ate a bowl of cereal in the room, etc., in our various parties, so whichever items are being ordered at the register could be a combination of platters, sides and beverages, regardless of whether they came from a kids' menu or the adult menu.

This may differ, though, if you are on one of the Disney Dining Plans and are watching your use of your Quick Service entitlements. If that's the case, you might want to allow one of your kids to eat an adult-sized portion and you enjoy something smaller from the kids' menu. (When our daughter was old enough to be considered an adult on the Dining Plan, but her little brother was not...and he is a big eater...we'd simply order something the little guy would like from the adult menu and something our daughter would enjoy from the kids' menu. That used the correct number of entitlements per day while keeping everybody happy.)

Another way of managing your meals might be to keep an eye out for options which come in segments that can be saved for later consumption. I stash zip-lock bags into my bag so that any sides which we can't finish (i.e. muffins at breakfast, grapes or a cookie at lunch) will be with us for later in the day. I've even put those bags, once filled, into our empty souvenir popcorn bucket, which protects the contents from getting crushed by other items. (They hook nicely onto stroller handles or fit perfectly into a small backpack, too.)

Send more questions as you think of them, Brandie; we love to help!
