    Dawn from OH Asked

Hello, I would like to know if you would recommend having breakfast or dinner at Chef Mickey's...or both? Which character dining breakfast experience do you recommend..Chef Mickey's or Donald's Safari breakfast. Thank you so much for your help!

When my kids were slightly smaller we would do at least one character meal on every day of our vacation, often more than one. For us it was the perfect way to combine good food with the character interaction that the kids craved. Even now that they're older, we still do two or three character meals every trip. So if you want to experience several character meals, I'm all for it.

Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary is the classic character dining experience. At Chef Mickey's the character interaction is quite similar at breakfast and dinner. You'll get the same great attention from Mickey, Minnie, and their pals at both meals. Really the only difference is that you get breakfast food at breakfast (waffles, pancakes, eggs, fruit, etc.) and at dinner you get dinner food (prime rib, baked chicken, salmon, super yummy mashed potatoes). Oh, and there is soft serve ice cream on tap at both meals :-) I'd choose whichever one best suits your schedule.

At the Safari breakfast at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom, the characters are slightly different. You get Mickey, Donald, and Daisy Duck, but no Minnie Mouse. Goofy is conveniently in both places. I think the food at Tusker House is really special. In addition to American breakfast classics, there are some unique African dishes on the buffet line. I'm always up for trying new tastes, so I love that my kids can get the simple foods they want while I can have something unfamiliar. Tusker House is just steps away from the Kilimanjaro Safari ride, which makes it a great starting point for any day at the Animal Kingdom.

If it works for you, I'd try dining at both venues. But since they are both great, I'd go with the one that fits best into your touring plan.
