Hi! I know park rules say no costumes but what does that mean? My teenagers want to wear tulle tutus and themed T-shirts to resemble characters. ie red tutu and black T-shirt with ears = Mickey. Would that be allowed in the parks (not during parties)? Thx!

    Hi Jane!

It sounds like your daughter is planning on Disney Bounding on your next Walt Disney World vacation!  How fun and creative!  Check out this cute video from the Disney Parks Blog about guests who dressed as their favorite Peter Pan character to celebrate the film's 65th anniversary.

There are park rules regarding costumes, but taking inspiration from a character and applying that to your park wear is perfectly fine.  The costume rule more applies to full head to toe costumes, especially no face masks.  It sounds like your daughter's Mickey Disney Bounding outfit will be adorable and will be perfection for photos!

Walt Disney World has recently started offering Character Couture Packages for teens and adults to really transform you into the character of your choice.  There are several packages to choose from that can include hair, make-up and nails.

If your daughter needs some help creating an outfit, do a Google image search for "Disney Bounding" and the character for lots of great ideas.  You can also find tons of outfit inspiration on Pinterest!

    Have a magical day!
