I know the Magical Express does not utilize car seats on the bus. Do parents traveling to/from Disney and only staying at the resort/parks really need a car seat, if you do not need it for the airplane, bus, or at the parks? What do most parents do?

Greetings, Rebecca, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! When I start planning my Disney’s Magical Express reservations, I start getting very excited about all the magic I’m about to experience!

I travel often to Walt Disney World Resort with my family, which means two kids that use car seats. However, Disney vacations are my favorite to travel for, because we’ve figured out how to tote the preschooler and grade schooler without bringing them! My kids can either use the airplane seatbelt alone or with a CARES harness, which is fantastic and space-saving, and on Disney’s Magical Express, one is a lap child and the other sits nicely next to Dad, gazing at the cartoons on the TV above. Once we are on property, car seats aren’t needed on the busses, watercrafts or monorails. Disney’s new service called Minnie Vans, as well as the personal shuttles (we’ve used them back to hotels from the parks very early in the morning), offer “forever” car seats for use, which I adore. They fit a variety of children, safely! The other service we’ve used while in Orlando is UBER, because they have the “family” option that comes with one car seat. I can say we’ve come without carseat three times now, and these services have us covered and feeling confident.

If I can help you with anything else, please let me know. I’m just around the riverbend! ~ Lindsey P.
