Hi. I know that free dining isn't available right now, but we are planning a trip in November and we are wondering that if they were to offer free dining how much it would cost to upgrade to the next dining plan.

Hi Michelle! Thank you for stopping by with your question. Dining at the Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite topics!

I love when Walt Disney World gives special offers such as free dining, it makes traveling there that much sweeter. It  has been my experience that when free dining is offered, the resort that you stay at impacts what dining plan you receive. For example, in the past if you stayed at select Value Resort Hotels during the free dining period, you would be on the Quick-Service Dining Plan, whereas if you stayed at select Moderate or Deluxe Resort Hotels, you would be on the Disney Dining Plan. Therefore the cost to upgrade to the next level of dining plan would depend on resort hotel that you are staying at.

There are a couple of great resources out there, such as the Disney Dining Plans page, and allears.net. Once on that site you can search for more information on the various Disney Dining Plans and their cost.

I hope that while you’re at the Walt Disney World resort and you feel a rumbly in your tumbly, you fill it up at some of the incredible restaurants that always leave me hungry for more!
