Hi Mariana!
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I have to say I am a little bit envious that you will get to spend five glorious days at the Happiest Place on Earth! You will have so much time to explore the theme parks, the Downtown Disney District, and the Disneyland Resort Hotels during your trip. With longer stays such as this, I think it's great to get some balance by experiencing as much as possible, but also taking some much-needed time to relax.
One way to really maximize the time you do spend in the parks is by utilizing the
Disney MaxPass service which can be added to your park ticket each day. You can most definitely choose which days you would like to purchase MaxPass, therefore you do not need to add it every day. We actually just returned from a three day trip and decided we only wanted to use MaxPass on two of the days. To get the most out of our purchase, we tried to make as many FASTPASS selections as possible and took all the PhotoPass pictures we could since both of these are included in the daily MaxPass price. On the day we did not purchase Disney MaxPass, we chose to experience more entertainment options like Frozen - Live at the Hyperion and the Disney Junior Dance Party! in Disney California Adventure Park. Over in Disneyland Park we had fun riding the Disneyland Monorail, the Disneyland Railroad, and riding attractions that did not have FASTPASSES offered. This type of planning will be beneficial when deciding what you want to do each day. Before your vacation, I suggest downloading the
Disneyland app to familiarize yourself with theme park maps and attraction locations.
I hope this was helpful, and have a Fantasmic day!
