I know that some cruise lines charge a "Port Fee" to get off the ship in like the Bahamas. Does Disney also charge this fee? I have looked everywhere and all I can find is info on Shore excersions. We just want to walk around on our own and not a

Welcome aboard, Candy! It sounds like your family has a magical sailing with Disney Cruise Line coming up! There is so much to offer every member of the family onboard, you're all in for the time of your lives!

With Disney Cruise Line, there is so much value already included in the cost of your cruise! I'm happy to tell you that Disney Cruise Line does not charge a separate fee to disembark the ship in the ports of call. If you choose to book a Port Adventure with Disney, you'll simply pay the cost of the adventure. But if your family wants to just walk off the ship on your own to explore the port at your leisure, you are welcome to do so, no cost involved. Just have your photo I.D. and Key To The World Card (which you'll receive upon check in) ready as you disembark and when you return to the ship.

We enjoy exploring the fun areas near the port. In Nassau, there are many shopping areas very close by, so you only need to walk off the ship, off the dock and into town to have lots to keep you busy for the day. I'm sure you'll make the most of your day in port! If you do plan to do this, I highly recommend you attend the shopping talk the day before you arrive in port. You'll see this listed in your Personal Navigator onboard. A shopping specialist will give you tips on the best places to go, plus you'll get coupons and freebies! That's always fun! Then, you'll be better prepared to explore the port the following day.

    Have fun planning, Candy!
