I know you can charge most items to your Disney resort room account and this is very convenient. But are there any places I can't use my MagicBand to pay? Such as third-party stores at Epcot or Disney Springs or recreation like marinas and bike rental?

Hi, Jonathan! MagicBands have made my day in the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks so much easier. Everything I need, including FastPass+ selections, theme park tickets, Advanced Dining Reservations and Memory Maker, is stored online in My Disney Experience, which I have access to via my linked MagicBand. Another great feature of the MagicBands is their ability to link to your Resort hotel room for charging privileges. During our recent family vacation, my wallet found its way to the bottom of my backpack each day as I really had no need to retrieve it while paying for purchases. Like you said, it really is a convenience when touring the theme parks and Disney Springs.

As long as you have an approved credit card linked to your Resort stay, then you will be able to charge any purchases to your account. This does include dining and merchandise locations, tickets to special events, spa services, most sports & fitness rentals, and activities across Walt Disney World Resort. During our vacation, I used my MagicBand to pay for my daughter's afternoon with Alice and the Mad Hatter at the Wonderland Tea Party. As I waited for her to finish celebrating a very merry unbirthday, I used it once again to pay for a pack of my favorite bath bombs at Basin White, a fantastic store within Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Later that evening, that little band came in handy once again to charge a carriage ride through Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

While your MagicBand can be a great convenience during your trip, I do suggest that you keep some sort of backup payment with you at all times. You never know when there may a kink in the system, especially if Stitch is up to his silly games! In our experience, some of the smaller specialty kiosks occasionally may have issues linking up to the system to complete a room charge.

I hope this information helps you, Jonathan! Please let me know if you have any further questions.
