Hi, I know you can book a resort-only reservation 499 days out, but is there any advantage to doing so? I know my dates in 2014 and the resort I want, so I could make the res. if I wanted, but I don't know if there is any reason to go ahead this soon. Thx.

    Hi there, Rebecca!

I have to say, I'm so impressed that you have one of the biggest decisions made about your upcoming vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! Sometimes for us, dates and location are two of the hardest choices to nail down.

I think there are several advantages to making your reservations that early. The first one is that you'll have a great chance of getting the exact location and dates that you want. The Walt Disney World Resort is a very popular place for tournaments, conferences, and celebrations. A lot of times, the dates for those events are not known to the general public so, it will definitely be to your advantage to already have your reservations in place. Another advantage is having plenty of time to make payments on your vacation. Making the reservation this far in advance may mean that you will be able to have your vacation paid off before you even go! One thing I do want to mention is that your reservation will be made using the current year's pricing and as soon as next year's rates are published, your rate will be changed to reflect that pricing. Your reservation agent should let you know that as well.

I sure hope this helps, Rebecca! Don't hesitate to come back and ask if you have any other questions!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
