I would like to know the best time to visit WDW for fewer crowds and decent weather? (not scorching/raining a lot)

Hello Kelsey and thanks for bringing this GREAT question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! If you asked this question to five different people, you may get five different answers! But, for me and my family, our all time favorite time to visit is the second week of December. We have three reasons why.

    1. The crowds are low. Since most schools are in session during this time the crowds are consistently manageable.
    2. The weather is good. With average highs in the low 70s and average monthly precipitation right around 2.5 inches makes for comfortable theme park touring.
    3. The parks and resorts are decked out for the holidays. Be prepared to be dazzled by beautiful Christmas décor throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

OH...and a bonus reason: the possibility to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! This event requires a special ticket but includes unique entertainment, cookies and cocoa, and snow on Main Street, U.S.A.

Whenever you decide to visit, you will likely experience magic and pixie dust.

Hope to see ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
