Hi Kirsten, We're frequent cruisers with Disney Cruise Line and really enjoyed The Midship Detective Agency on the Disney Dream. Does The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom work the same way, also where do we register to play? Thank you

    Hi Jackie!

Thanks so much for visiting me with your great question!

I'm so glad to hear that you've enjoyed playing The Midship Detective Agency on board the Disney Dream. It's such great fun for the whole family isn't it? My son couldn't get enough of it!

You're quite correct! The new Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom interactive game does operate in quite a similar way. You use 'cards' and hold them up while standing on a marker in front of a 'portal.' Upon completion of each battle during your quest, you'll be directed to the next location which you'll find using a map.

To get started during your next visit, simply pop in to the Firehouse after you enter Magic Kingdom. When you visit, you'll receive a 'key' card for each member of your family who wants to play as well as one spell card pack per person and a game map. Your Park Ticket or Key to the World Card is presented to obtain these, and you can obtain 1 pack of cards per person, per day of visit to Magic Kingdom. A Cast Member will introduce you to the game itself and provide you with a hands on tutorial, using a portal on site, so that you're all set to go jump into your own game!

To see a video clip of the game in action, check out this great article on the Disney Parks Blog Jackie!

Wishing you success as you join Merlin in defeating the Disney Villains and saving the Magic Kingdom during your next visit!
