Hi Kirsten. Just wondering about a surprise visit for a "Sweet Sixteen" birthday? We are looking at Cdn. Thanksgiving weekend, any suggestions for making it awesome for a special teen? We are thinking of the Contemporary resort as there are 5,

    Hi Jennifer!

How exciting that you're planning a surprise visit for your Sweet Sixteen-year-old!
During her special day, why not consider pampering your daughter with a visit to one of Disney's Spas?

Since you're considering a stay at Disney's Contemporary Resort, a fabulous spot for a birthday dinner is the California Grill on the 15th floor of the resort, overlooking Magic Kingdom. Time your reservation such that you can pop outside to view the fireworks on her special day, from the outdoor observation deck. It's a view like no other!

Another great spot for a special dinner is 'Ohana, just a monorail ride away from the Contemporary at the Polynesian. Time your reservation here to also include fireworks viewing and wait for a table by the window. You'll be treated to a view of Cinderella Castle over the treetops and enjoy Wishes from the restaurant as the lights are dimmed and the music is piped in!

Consider ordering a special, customized celebration cake in advance, to be delivered to your daughter's special meal. Specialty cakes should be ordered at least 48 hours in advance by calling (407) 827-2253.

There are many other special ways to Celebrate Your Special Occasion to be viewed on the Walt Disney World site. Some amazing packages are offered by Disney Floral & Gifts. My favourite of all is the 'A Magical Wish - Fulfill a Dream' Swarovski crystal & silver bracelet engraved with the words: Dream, Wish, Believe, which can also be delivered to your special dinner.

Wishing you and your family - especially your daughter - a very Magical birthday trip!
