    Karen Asked

Hi Kirsten - Travelling to Orlando Oct 11-16. Me, 13 yr old daughter + my friend + her 8 yr old girl. We have max 4 days for Disney. Can you suggest character dining options including princesses. Also want to know what are the busiest days by park. Thx

    Hi Karen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad that you're visiting me with your question!
A girls' trip to Orlando sounds like a great time to me! There are so many wonderful dining experiences and adventures you'll enjoy together. You'll want to make your reservations for dining as soon as you can, beginning 180 days prior to your visit.

As far as dining experiences go, here are a few of my favourite Character dining experiences your group of girls are sure to enjoy:

    - Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian Resort
(this is a great complement to a day spent at Magic Kingdom - and easy to pop back into the park for fireworks afterwards)

    - Akershus in Epcot's Norway for Princess Storybook Dining
(my favourite meal of the day here is breakfast)

If you'd like additional, non-character dining recommendations, feel free to write me back.

In terms of busiest days in the parks, you're visiting during one of the quieter times of year - so that's a bonus! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be ongoing during the time of your visit, so Epcot will be the park to avoid on weekends as it will be busy with both tourists and locals. I'd recommend perhaps Magic Kingdom on Saturday, Animal Kingdom on Sunday, and then Hollywood Studios and Epcot on your last days.

Another event going on during the time of your visit is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This separately ticketed event happens only on select evenings from 7pm-midnight at Magic Kingdom. It would be a great addition to your schedule on a day you're not already in the parks. You may consider planning a visit there for your Friday evening.

I hope to hear from you again soon Karen!
