I have kind of a strange question. How do you keep your phone dry on water rides? My Disney Experiance means you have to have your phone at the parks but need to keep it safe and dry. I want to go bagless this trip so I have to have a way to keep it dry.

    Hi Jessica,

As the old saying goes, "Everybody's got a Laughing Place" and mine is definitely found on the wet thrill attractions of Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park and Kali River Rapids at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. But make no mistake...Disney provides guests plenty of notice that you can and will get wet on each of these attractions. Possibly even soaked!

With so many of us carrying cell phones these days to take photos and videos of our time in the Parks and to access the My Disney Experience mobile app to check attraction wait times, access Park maps, and review and make dining and FastPass+ selections, it does pose the challenge of how to keep your cell phone dry when enjoying wet attractions.

Jessica, as you are trying to travel without a bag this trip, I do have a couple of suggestions for you. The safest route would be to use a locker. In fact, Kali River Rapids makes this very convenient as complimentary two hour lockers are located adjacent to the entrance of this attraction.

Locker rentals are also available at the front entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. Personally, though, I have not used this option as it is a fair distance from the rental locker location to Splash Mountain. Recently I found a perfect solution by purchasing a waterproof case on Amazon which hangs around my neck like a lanyard. It has been a game changer! It even allows me to take pictures and record video with my phone completely protected. It also comes in handy when at the pool or beach. I think this would be your best option.

    Wishing you a Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah Day!
