    Dana from WA Asked

Is there any kind of in room care available for adults with disabilities? Our adult son has Downs Syndrome loves the rides but sometimes can't tolerate sitting for long in restaurants. If we wanted a nice meal out just by ourselves, we'd need some help.

    Hi Dana,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I have worked with a company named Kid's Nite Out to provide in-room care for my daughter when I go on a night out at Walt Disney World.  I have had great experiences with them, and my daughter has always had a lovely time with the caregivers that they send.

I called Kid's Nite Out to check if they can provide services for adults with disabilities.  The employee I spoke with told me that they are sometimes able to provide services for adults with disabilities.  She did suggest that you call at least a month ahead of time so that they can ensure that a proper caregiver is available.  I would suggest that you go ahead and call them as soon as you can and speak with them directly.  This way, you can explain your specific situation and begin to investigate if this is a possibility for you.  The website for the company is kidsniteout.com.  You can call them at 1-800-696-8105 or e-mail them at officecontact@kidsniteout.com.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Dana.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
