    Peter from FL Asked

What kind of items can you bring into the park with you, like a metal insulated drinking cup and sandwiches and snacks the granddaughter is a picky eater Thank You

Hi, Peter! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!

You are free to bring in just about any variety of snack and water bottle that you wish. The only prohibited items are glass containers (baby food jars are the only exception) and, of course, alcoholic or illegal substances. Whenever we travel to the parks, our backpack is loaded with snacks like granola bars, apple slices, crackers, and fruit snacks. We also make sure we have water bottles for everyone as it’s very important to stay hydrated in the Florida heat. There are lots of drinking fountains to refill your water bottles, or you can ask for a free cup of ice water at any counter-service restaurant.

I will say that I find the kids menus at counter- and table-service restaurants very accommodating to children’s tastes. From chicken nuggets and hamburgers to pastas and sandwiches, we have always been able to find something our daughter will gladly devour. Also, there are lots of snack and fresh fruit carts where you can pick up whole and sliced fruit and small packaged snacks like apple chips or hummus cups. If your granddaughter would still prefer packing her own food, you can bring in a small cooler (no larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high) and store it in a locker until it is meal time.

I hope this helps clarify things for you. Have a wonderful time at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
