What kind of accommodations does Disney make for people with CF. A large family group wants to travel over the summer because that is the most convenient but it will be very difficult for my nephew in the heat. In the past Disney used to give GAP passes.

    Hello, Mariam!

The Florida heat can certainly be difficult for Guests with certain medical conditions like your nephew. I know first hand how important it is to plan ahead as my son has about five hours in a theme park before he needs a break and a place to recharge and relax. Here are some services designed to help Guests:

    1. Disability Assistance Service (DAS). This service can be requested at any theme park Guest Relations Lobby and provides a virtual wait time for an attraction for those who are unable to wait in the regular queue because of their disability.

    2. FastPass+. This complementary service, included in your theme park admission allows you to reserve up to three experiences per day per theme park beginning 30 days in advance. I reserve experiences early in the day or after dinner, and DAS can be used in tandem with FastPass+.

    3. Stroller and Wheelchair Rentals. My son uses his own, and we ask for a tag that allows his medical stroller to be considered a wheelchair so he can remain in the chair in queues or experience select attractions without needing to transfer.

    4. Attraction Access Categories. This page is my go-to source to know when my son must transfer to an attraction vehicle and which attractions allow him to stay in the chair to enjoy the experience.

I hope this helps with your planning! Please let me know if you have additional questions.
