Kimberly-HELP! Need your HONEST opinion about Disney transport vs rental car. Arriving 9/23-can we anticipate long waits for buses and ME (staying at PC)? Does going during the Value season make any difference there? Thank you SO SO much!

For us, the Magical Express WAS both magical and express going to our resort. The only downside was the return trip home in that ME picks you up approximately 3 hours prior to your flight and then our bus was very late. I would have rather spent that extra time by the pool!

I enjoyed bypassing baggage claim and my husband enjoyed not having to get off an airplane and immediately have to drive. Once we are on Disney property, he enjoys driving around, however.

As far as the buses, my entire family was less than thrilled. On our first morning heading to the Animal Kingdom from the Grand Floridian, we waited a long time for the bus to arrive. Many guests were trying to get to Blizzard Beach for Extra Magic Hour and were getting nervous about being late.

Going back to our resort, my son and I waited for 30 minutes for the Grand Floridian bus. My husband had gone over to the Dolphin to pick up our rental car and actually got to our hotel faster than us!

My Mom stayed at Pop Century and found the buses to be jam packed in the mornings and evenings. She said they were empty in the middle of the day when returning to her resort.

The buses were inefficient. I'd much rather spend my vacation not having to wonder when the next bus will arrive, how many stops we'll be making and what time we'll be back at the resort. If I knew that when I exited Epcot, for example, that the next bus would be at 1:30 p.m. then I'd schedule our itinerary for the appropriate time.

Driving our rental car (a cute PT cruiser which cost $79 for 7 days) we knew what time we were leaving and what time we'd arrive our destination.

Also, my Mom said the bus stop at the Pop Century was brutally hot as it is not covered. So, there's my honest opinion. Rent a car!

I already booked mine for our September trip.
