Hi Kimberly - quick ? about DME - is tipping of the driver expected? Or, is it included? If we need to tip, what is the suggested amount? THANKS - this panel has been fantastic for making my plans. I am addicted and read it every day!!

    Hi!!

It's so nice to hear from our daily readers!!

Tipping of the Disney's Magical Express bus driver is not expected. However, if the driver provides any assistance with luggage, strollers or other items that you may need stowed in the cargo area of the bus then it is customary to tip the driver.

We had the bus driver stow our carry-on luggage and so we tipped $1 per bag after the driver took the items out of the cargo area at our resort.

A gratuity jar may be visible on some buses with a sign stating that tips are appreciated but there is no need to feel obligated to leave a tip if you are only riding the bus. Of course, if the driver in some way makes your trip special (plays a trivia game, gives WDW tidbits, etc.) then some guests have been known to tip in order to compensate for a truly entertaining ride.
