Kimberly, can anyone participate in the flamingo feedings at AKL? Does it cost extra? What time(s) does this happen? I would DIE if I could do this but am staying at POP.

I do not believe you need to be a guest of the resort to watch the Flamingo Feeding program. There is no extra cost. The animal handlers do the feeding and guests can watch.

The last time I stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge there was a feeding at 10:30 a.m. Your best option is to call the Animal Kingdom Lodge from your room at Pop Century. I would inquire as the what time the Flamingo Feeding will be taking place on the day that you wish to travel over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

From any theme park, take the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus. From Pop Century, take the Animal Kingdom bus and then transfer to the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus.

Once you arrive, ask a Savanna Guide to tell you more about the resident birds. They'll be able to tell you about the synchronized movements of the Greater Flamingo at the lodge. It's quite the social display!

I hope you are able watch the feeding!
