The kids are 3, 4, 6 and 12. We've never been to Disney before, the idea is overwhelming to be honest! Am I crazy to limit our family's first Disney trip to just 1 park over the course of 2 or 3 days?

    Hi Lacey!

Oh, I absolutely love helping first-time Walt Disney World Guests with their planning. I get butterflies just thinking of the amazing experience you are about to have. I have the feeling this will be just the beginning of many trips back and many wonderful memories made!

First of all, try not to feel overwhelmed. Even the most seasoned Walt Disney World visitors have yet to see and do it all. My advice on how to begin is to create a My Disney Experience account. Once you have done this, you can begin booking your Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ choices and much more! Think of My Disney Experience as a place to store every element of your Walt Disney World vacation. Once you have made your plans there, you can link everything to your MagicBands. With 4 children along, MagicBands will simplify your day (trust me, I have 8 kids and MagicBands make my life great!) and keep everyone's reservations easily accessible. You will love them!

Some people visiting for the first time like to visit one Park only but, many like to see as much of every Park as they possibly can. Whatever you decide is best will be just great. I do have to warn you, though...once you are there you may not be able to resist a peek at each Park. You might want to consider adding the Park Hopper Option to your ticket. One thing is for sure...you and your family are in for the time of your lives. I'm so excited for you!

Please come back if we can assist you with any other planning tips or give you ideas of how to sprinkle some extra fairy dust on your trip. We love to help!

    Have a magical day!
