Hi there my kids and I will be traveling to Disney World in 5 days and I am starting to freak out!!!!!! My children are 6.5 and 4 and I am hoping that it won't be too hard for me??? Any advise, or suggestions on rides would be really appreciated!!!

    Hi Marisol!

Alright, just take a deep breath and relax because you are going to Walt Disney World! My first and most important tip for any Walt Disney World vacation, but especially when taking children solo is to make a schedule. It is often a great way to cut down the "what to do next?" argument.A great resource is the Walt Disney World website itself to help you find attractions, shows and parades that will interest both of your children.

Most attractions at Walt Disney World are family friendly.Go to the Walt Disney World website and Under the Things To Tab, click attractions and from here you will be able to search for attractions by Thrill Level, Interests, Age Interest, Height, Accessibility options.A good idea to spend some time before your trip letting your children get acquainted with different attractions.A Disney vacation planning DVD is a great resource and YouTube also has videos to give your children an idea of what to expect.

Make sure to build in some downtime during your vacation, even though you might hear a protest of two, building in some down time will keep from having any park meltdowns.Downtime doesn't necessarily mean a nap, spend some time at the pool, maybe a couple of loops riding the monorail.  Not matter how you choose to do spend your down time, it can be essential to keeping your sanity intact.

Many Table Service restaurants and Quick-Service options are either buffets or have topping bars.If you are going to be dining at any of these locations,I would highly suggest setting down some rules. At any buffet with my smaller children, the rule is we always get our desserts or second plates at the same time. This will keep the up and downs to a minimum allowing you to have a much more relaxing meal.

I hope this helps and please let us know if you have anymore questions!

    Enjoy your Disney Time!
