I have 2 kids that will qualify as adults for meals at Walt Disney World. My children are very picky and will not eat things off those menus for 90% of the time. Can they order things off the kids menu?

Hey there, Kendra. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

My daughter used to be very picky so I can understand the worry about the transition from kids menu to adult menu. While it will technically be up to each restaurant's discretion, I've never had a problem requesting a different menu for my daughter. Also, most restaurants are willing to make substitutions. So if your children see something on the adult menu they'd like to try but need to alter it a bit, that might be able to happen too. Also, without a doubt, all of the Quick Service dining locations will allow you to order off of either menu. I've ordered off of the kids menu for myself several times when I've just wanted a light snack. When my daughter was in that transitional phase of eating, we booked  a lot of all-you-care-to-enjoy restaurants. That way she could sample a lot of different things but also have enough food to fuel her body. Some of her favorites have always been:
I hope this helps ease your mind about what your kids might eat while you are on vacation. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
