My kids and I are planning on our second Disney Cruise in October. The first time we booked through the website and it was a breeze. My sister recently took a Disney Cruise and booked through an agent. Are there advantages either way?

    Ahoy Beth Ann!
It's wonderful to hEAR you are planning your next magical voyage with Captain Mickey! October is one of my favorite times to sail because of the festive Halloween activities and spooktacular decor! The Characters will also be decked out in their adorable Halloween attire that makes for some very special meet and greet opportunities! How exciting!
You are correct that Disney Cruise Line makes booking online very easy! The website is quite user-friendly for those wanting to have complete control over their reservation. If you decide to let a travel agent book your reservation, you will want to verify the agent is an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. The service is free to you, so it really depends on if you want someone else handling the details or not. The agent will go through the booking process for you and keep you up-to-date on payments and when booking windows open. He/she will also help you pick a good stateroom location, look for any special offers, and will help you choose a sailing that works within your budget. Many times agents will offer an onboard credit or small token of appreciation if you book with them. Pricing is the same whether you book through Disney Cruise Line or a travel agent.
I'm glad I could assist you with your question today, Beth Ann! If you think of anything else, please let us know. We are always happy to help.
    Have a magical day!
