Another ?.Kids will need to stick to bed time 8/8:30 so plan to book early dinner seating. Will they still be able to catch the nightly show?If not what night is the Toy Story show typically on 3 day cruise? That & Animator's Palate are must do for us.

I truly appreciate your questions and look forward to helping with your magical Disney cruise.

First, let me explain the evening’s main events which include dinner and a show presented in the Walt Disney Theatre. Early diners will eat at 5:45 p.m.

Typically on the 3 night Disney Wonder voyage, the show schedule is:

Thursday night - The Golden Mickeys at 8:30 p.m.
Friday night - Toy Story The Musical 8:15 p.m.
Saturday night - Disney Dreams, An Enchanted Classic 8:30 p.m.

I’ve found that when we vacation at Walt Disney World and/or aboard the Disney Cruise Line that our son (as well as his parents!!)  reverts to taking naps during the day so that we can all enjoy the evening entertainment. There are so many wonderful activities that take place at night on the ship including the only fireworks at sea.

When we sailed this past January, my son was 9 and he took a nap in the afternoon. We didn’t tell him it was nap time but we would return to our stateroom “for a break”. Inevitably, we all ended up snoozing.

Even when our son was younger, some of our most precious moments on the ship were watching the evening shows, going to the Pirate’s in the Caribbean Party and attending the ‘Til We Meet again show in the Atrium. Admittedly our young sailor was ready for bed right after the fireworks and didn’t make it to the dessert buffet on deck 9. Yet the video we have of him watching Mickey save the ship from Captain Hook is priceless.  And watching him wave good-bye to all the characters at the last night’s ‘Til We Meet again character extravaganza brought us to tears.
