Do the kids have to be in the kids clubs if we are eating at Palo or can they go into watch the show They will be 14 ,10 and 10 thanks

    Ahoy, Jennifer!

One of my favorite things about any Disney Cruise Line vacation is eating in the main dining rooms. You have the same servers for the duration of your cruise, and they follow you to the different restaurants. We have been extremely fortunate to have fantastic servers on each of our trips.

A few years ago, we were traveling with another family. We had each planned to dine in Palo, the adult-exclusive restaurant, on different nights, not wanting to risk our children having to be in the clubs while we were dining. We were told by our servers that we should have booked the same night for Palo and sent our four children (ages 8-14) to the dining room alone. The servers would happily have taken care of them.

I had no idea that this was even an option. Now, you know your children, and you probably know how they would behave in this situation. I, for one, will absolutely NOT hesitate to do this in the future. Our daughters are now 14 and 11, and I would absolutely trust them to head to the dining room on their own and that they would be respectful to our servers and others around us. So, that is one option for you.

Another option is to send your 10 year olds to the Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab for the duration of your dinner in Palo. There is plenty of food available for you to feed them prior to going to the clubs. You can order room service or head up to the pool deck for some quick service food.  Your 14 year old is old enough to find food on their own and then head to Vibe.

You also could plan a late dinner at Palo, go with your children to dinner, and then they can head to the show while you dine in Palo. This way, you don't miss seeing any of the main dining rooms. It can be hard to resist, however, when everyone else is eating, and you DO NOT want to fill up before going to Palo. There is SO MUCH FOOD and it is delicious!

I hope this helps with your planning!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
