My kids got some Disney gift cards for Christmas. To help teach them about money, I would like to get some Disney dollars. Can I use Disney gift cards to buy Disney dollars?

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Are you packed and ready to go on your magical vacation yet? Just 3 more sleeps!

I love that you are using Disney magic to provide a learning experience for your kids and I agree that Disney Dollars would bring a lot of fun and character (pun intended) to your lesson! You can purchase Disney Dollars right at your Disney Resort hotel or at Guest Relations at any Disney theme park or water park.

I checked the Disney Gift Card Terms and Conditions to shed some light on your question and it looks like the Disney Gift Card may not be used to buy Disney Dollars.

I do love your idea though, so my suggestion is to purchase the Disney Dollars yourself to exchange with your kids. That way you can use the Disney Gift Cards for your own purchases while your children learn a great lesson on how money works.

It sounds like your family is going to have an awesome time. Enjoy your trip!
