    Michelle from MD Asked

We want to keep our trip affordable. We are traveling with our 5 year old daughter who is in bed usually by 9. My husband and I like to stay up and watch TV. Which resorts offer a separate room for my daughter, but are not too expensive?

    Hi Michelle,

I recently had the opportunity to see the Family Suites at the All Star Music Resort.  This resort is in the Value Category.  The suites are huge!  (They are the size of two standard resort rooms).  Each one has two full bathrooms, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave and sink, a master bedroom and living room with a pull-out sofa and chair.  There is a TV in both the bedroom and living room.  The kitchenette is a great way to save some money on food in the parks.  By stocking up on some staples (cereal, milk, bread, etc.) you can have breakfast in your room (there's plenty of space) and skip a more costly version in the parks.

Another "spacious" option is the cabins at Fort Wilderness Campground.  Each log cabin has a master bedroom, full kitchen (including dishwasher) and a living room with a pull-down Murphy-style bed.  Here, too, there is a TV in both the bedroom and living room. Each cabin has its own deck with barbecue as well.  The Campground is a Magic Kingdom Resort, and access to the park is a quick boat ride away.  The cabins are in the Moderate Resort Category.  My family has stayed in the cabins a number of times, and my boys love it.  There are a number of great entertainment options, including nightly campfires with Chip & Dale and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Whatever you choose, have a wonderful vacation!
