Is there any way to keep Kosher at Disney World?

    Hi Hilda:

Disney World aims to accommodate guests with various dining requests and needs. To answer your question, I turned to Moms Panelist, Deborah, who has planned many vacations for individuals who keep Kosher. In the meantime, she let me know that guests who keep Kosher currently have a few different options.

For table service meals, Deborah recommends you call call 407 WDW-DINE at least twenty-four hours in advance of your meal. Disney World works with Webermans (Glatt Kosher, certified by Orthodox Rabbinical Council of South Florida and by National Kashruth), who will provide Kosher guests a pre-made and pre-packaged meal. Note that at a buffet or a family-style restaurant, each guest will receive only one prepared Kosher meal.

The following counter-service locations usually have prepared Kosher meals available: Pizzafari (Animal Kingdom), ABC Commissary (Disney's Hollywood Studios), The Liberty Inn (Epcot), and at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe (Magic Kingdom). The following Resorts offer on-demand Kosher meals in their food court areas: the All-Star Resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Caribbean Beach, Grand Floridian, Pop Century, Port Orleans, both French Quarter and Riverside, and Saratoga Springs. Also, Kosher pre-packed snacks are sold throughout the Parks and Resorts. Simply check the package for information.

Guests also purchase Kosher meals from surrounding markets. One location is Kosher Korner, which is under the rabbinic supervision of Chabad, and can be reached at (407) 787-3344. Located approximately 25 minutes from Disney, you'll find Cohen's Deli. This Glatt Kosher eatery caters to Orlando travelers, and offers prepared packaged meals and traditional selections. Cohen's will deliver to your Resort for a small charge.

    Wishing you safe travels.
