Hi Kay!I looked on Touringplans and info for MK, on a 1.1 day and no avail for CRT, or a7.9 crowd day and I got a CRT bfast ADR. We also have 1900 Park Fare scheduled for dinner on the 1.1 crowd day. I would like your thoughts on which to do. thanks

Hi Jennifer!  I know making the dining reservations can be one of the most frustrating things to do when planning your trip as it is impossible to know what will have availability and what won't.  Trust me it is like a big giant puzzle and we also work on being puzzle solvers when making our own personal plans.

You have a tough choice to make with your plans.  Obviously it is best to be in the park when the crowds are the smallest but no matter how good a touring plan is it also isn't written in stone that they can accurately predict on any given day.  If you only have one chance to visit the Magic Kingdom the crowd level is important.  I wish you had given me the dates as that would help me help you with the decision as I could look into why there is such a difference in what Touring Plans state.

I think you need to ask yourself is the castle experience important for your family?  I always encourage guests to try it at least once for the chance to say they have been in the castle and eaten a meal with the princess characters.  The food is fine but not important enough to go back time and time again. If you have a little princess in the family that would be disappointed then by all means just head there the day you have the dinner reservations.  Of course if you have park hopper tickets you can visit another park and then head there for dinner only???

If you are concerned about the crowds then pick the least crowded day, enjoy the shorter lines, and then hop on the monorail to head to the Grand Floridian for dinner that night. It is a lovely way to take a break from the park, eat in a nice restaurant, then head back to the Magic Kingdom for the evening parade and fireworks.  This would be my choice but I have eaten many times in the castle so my family doesn't find it necessary to repeat that experience. And my family likes short lines!
