Kara- I want to try to do a Character breakfast on our last day of our trip before we head to the airport. I have two boys, so princess are not important :) Any advice on which Character breakfast? We are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Thanks!

    Hi Kelly,,

Dining with characters sounds like a great way to cap off your Disney vacation.

Donald's Dining Safari Breakfast at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom would be convenient for you since you are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but because you are leaving for the airport right after breakfast, I am assuming you don't want to use a park admission ticket that day.

Outside the theme parks, Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet at the Contemporary is always a favorite and probably the most popular character breakfast. Donald, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto appear with Chef Mickey. We've celebrated a number of birthdays there over the years.

Your boys might also enjoy a buffet breakfast with Goofy and friends at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club resort or a family-style breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at 'Ohana in the Polynesian resort. I haven't been to a breakfast at either of these, but have had dinner at both several times and love the atmosphere and food in each.

Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto appear at 'Ohana; Goofy, Minnie and Donald appear at Cape May Cafe.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you know that advanced dining reservations are imperative for these popular meals.

I hope that helps. I'm sure you will have a delicious finish to your vacation.
