Hi Krista,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you are planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort can be just as fun as it is overwhelming!
First, if possible, consider staying at a
Resort Hotel. I suggest taking a look at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. They have family suites themed after The Lion King, Finding Nemo and Cars movies. Staying on site gives you access to
Extra Magic Hours and you can make your
Fast Pass+ reservations 60 days in advance.
Once you select your hotel, make a reservation!
Next, you need to set up a
My Disney Experience Account. I suggest that you add family and friends to your "My Family and Friends List." If you stay off-site, once you purchase your theme park tickets, link your tickets to your My Disney Experience Account and you can make Fast Pass+ reservations 30 days in advance.
Then, start making
Dining Reservations. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance and restaurants fill quickly, especially for Character Meals. We love Chef Mickey's!
Finally, review
Park Hours for the dates you plan to visit. Both
Magic Kingdom and
Animal Kingdom have attraction lists.
I hope this helps!
