In July are staying in a club level, one bedroom suite at GF. My husband and I are taking 4 teenagers! If we sleep on the sleeper sofa we get our own room and some privacy! Will the sofa bed will be too hard on our 45yr old backs for 6 nights?

    Hi Bobbi,

Well, you are in for a mountain of fun traveling with four teenagers. Aren't you? It must be so exciting for your children to think about all the adventures that lie ahead. Staying Club Level at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is an exceptional experience. I bet the teens traveling with you are going to love having access to all the tasty treats available to concierge guests.

I am in my forties, also, and have slept on sofa beds at Walt Disney World Resort more times than I can count. I can honestly say that the sofa beds that are currently in guest rooms are quite comfortable. They aren't the old, traditional sofa beds with the rigid metal bar under a thin mattress. These are rather ingenious tufted couches that transform quickly into a comfortable bed. I have never heard my husband or teenage son complain about sleeping on them, and I have never lost a minute's sleep on them either. However, if you decide that you and your husband would rather sleep on a traditional bed, you could always modify your reservation to include two adjoining rooms instead of one suite.

If you need any suggestions for activities teenagers would enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort, feel free to submit additional questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. If your kids are sixteen and older, there are backstage tours and Segway experiences that can be a unique thrill. I highly recommend them.

Wishing you many magical memories in July,
    Jill
