Joel, we will be traveling to WDW for 4 nt/5 days (my husband & I, our 2 yr old, and my parents). We are staying at AKL. I've done lots of research, but would love advice on doing WDW wth a little one - touring plans, rides, naps, etc?

Yo, Jennifer! Thanks for the question. I've done the Disney dance with little kids before. With a little prep on the front end, everyone will have the time of their lives. Disney World is huge. You'll be tempted to try to do everything but that could be the end of you. So could Stitch's Great Escape. You'll want to bake a couple things into your daily game plan before filling in your park touring strategies. The essentials include fitting in nap time, hitting the parks at park opening and having some down time in or out of the parks for smelling the roses and enjoying snacks. Then, start identifying the attractions that you'd like to partake in. A great way to do this is to check out the Magical Beginnings guide on the Disney World website. This has the attractions that are some of the top spots for tots. After you identify the attractions you want to visit, check out the park operating hours. Maximize your park time by hitting places with morning extra magic hours, factor in a midday break for nap (when the crowd levels peak) and return to a park for the evening. TouringPlans.com will help significantly in planning which parks to visit each day and touring them once you're in them. Feel free to come on back and ask more questions as you go about your trip planning!
