Hi Jodie! Have another (?). Not sure about MVMCP. Spending over $200 for few hours on top of park fee is alot of $$. Will there be any type of holiday parades/fireworks before 7:00pm if we don't go to party or is it best to visit on non-party day?

Welcome back, Connie! I completely understand your concern about spending money for the Special Event on top of a regular park ticket. Personally, I would not do both in the same day. I would either spend a full day at the Magic Kingdom or I would enjoy a relaxed morning and afternoon around the Walt Disney World Resort followed by an evening at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. One of my favorite Christmas activities at Disney is to visit the Disney Deluxe Resorts admiring all the beautiful Christmas decorations. You could do a self-guided resort tour or visit Downtown Disney before attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. In the past, there have not been any special holiday parades or fireworks during the day at Magic Kingdom until after the last Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If history repeats itself, then Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade and Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season will not be offered on regular park days until December 22, 2012.This Special Event will be offered twice during your vacation: December 16th and 18th, In the past, guests were able to enter the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m. with their Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Ticket. Although they have allowed guests to enter at 4:00 p.m. in the past, I cannot guarantee they will be allowed to again this year. If you decide against the Party, then I would recommend visiting the Magic Kingdom on a different day. (non Special Event day) The evening parades and fireworks would not be shown before you would need to exit the park. If you decide to enjoy Magic Kingdom on a regular park day, I can honestly say that you will still be able to enjoy the Christmas decorations adorning the park at every turn and in particular, the enchanted Castle Dream Lights on Cinderella Castle! I am out of room, but please feel free to write back if you need help making any adjustments to your planned itinerary or have any other questions. Best wishes for a Magical and Merry Trip, Connie!
