    Jamie from LA Asked

Hi Jodie, we chatted around Thanksgiving about the AOA resort -mermaid rooms. Just touching base to see how your experience was on your past visit. How was the Distance, bus service etc? Thanks in advance and hope yall had a great time!

It's always great to hEAR from you, Jamie! I honestly loved staying in The Little Mermaid standard guest room at Disney's Art of Animation Resort earlier this month! The attention to detail in the guest room and throughout the entire resort is simply amazing! I loved the privacy curtain separating the vanity area from the bedroom and the mini-refrigerator. I timed the walk from my guest room to Landscape of Flavors, the quick-service dining location, and found it to take seven to eight minutes one way. I know that the timing could fluctuate depending on how briskly you walk. I would add an additional three to four minutes to the bus stop which is located in front of the resort. The walk itself is quite lovely as you can admire the giant icons featured throughout the buildings and lush landscaping.I was able to confirm that Disney's Art of Animation Resort does currently have its own dedicated bus service. With that being said, bus service is subject to change.Disney buses usually run every 20 minutes. One thing I did want to mention is that guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort do receive complimentary parking at all theme parks. If you are unsatisfied with the bus service and have your car during your vacation, you could always drive to the theme parks which is what we often do. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Landscape of Flavors which features five food shops serving many diverse food offerings. There is a gelato bar and character waffles for kids which I thought were adorable. I personally think a self-guided tour of the property making sure to visit each section is exciting in itself! I honestly would not hesitate to book The Little Mermaid standard guest room at Disney's Art of Animation Resort again. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to visit me again with any additional vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical 2013 trip, Jamie!
    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
