Is there Jedi training every day at Disneys Hollywood Studios, or is it only on Star Wars Weekends? And do they pick all the kids for all the shows first thing, or do you need to keep trying throughout the day?

    Hi P,

The Jedi Training Academy (JTA) is a super cool experience and is typically held daily throughout the year at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

JTA is located near Star Tours. Registration will be near the stage & any Cast Members in that area can direct you to the registration area. This experience is free to participants.  It is held several times a day. The times will be listed on your Times Guide that you pick up along with your Guide Map when you enter the park.

Guests must be between the ages of 4 & 12 to participate in the JTA. After completing their training, each participant "battles" Darth Vader. The number of participants is limited and they start registration first thing in the morning and stop once the spots are filled for the day (they usually fill up fast during peak seasons). If this is something your son or daughter would like to participate in, head that way first.  They will need to be present with you to register because they will ask participants a couple of questions to make sure he/she can follow some basic directions.

There will be a PhotoPass Photographer during the show getting shots of all of the participants. Following the session, be sure to stop by so that he/she can give you a slip of paper with instructions on how to get those pictures added to your Disney PhotoPass.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
