Hello, this January I am suprising my sister with 5 day trip to Disney world for just me and her. We are staying at POFQ and I want to add some extra magic into this trip, what are some fun things to do with a 13 year old at the Disney world resort?

Hello Dominique and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I'm so thrilled to hEar you've planned a surprise sisters trip to the magic of Walt Disney World Resort for you and your darling sibling this coming January staying within the beautiful setting of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.  This Disney trip is sure to be truly special for you both and I just know you'll make some unforgettable memories together which you're sure to treasure forever.
There are several fun things to enjoy within your Resort beginning with of course the splashtastic Doubloon Lagoon swimming pool or the larger Ol' Man Island swimming complex which is located just a short walk away at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.  Plus if your 5 day stay includes a Sunday why not sign up for the 1.5 mile Beignet Fun Run which includes a finishers medal and of course a fresh beignet as your reward!
A fun thing my own teenagers still seem to love is joining in with all the nutty goings on at the nightly Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground where Guests of all ages can enjoy roasting s'mores over an open fire.  The Sing-A-Long is followed by a classic Disney movie shown on the campground's open air cinema.
And my own adventurous teens simply cannot wait to try Star Wars™: Secrets of the Empire by ILMxLAB and The VOID which is a really cool hyper reality experience at Disney Springs.
