Is January a good time for a cruise or it is too cold to play at Castaway Cay? We would like to celebrate my DD 11th birthday during this time.

    Hi Todd!

In my opinion any time is a good time for a Disney Cruise especially if you will be celebrating a special occasion onboard!  Although the water is a bit cooler in January, daytime highs are usually in the mid to upper 70s so it can feel quite refreshing.  Another great reason to choose January, is the fares are often a bit lower since many families have just returned from winter holidays.  No matter what time of year you embark on your Disney Cruise adventure, the experience will be filled with pixie dusted moments that you will cherish always.  The amazing cruise staff plans activities for Guests ranging in age from 0-99 which makes Disney the perfect family vacation.  On DisneyCruise.com there are some great videos that give you a sneak peek at what you can expect on your magical voyage!  Have a look and let me know if I can assist you with any other questions.  I'm always happy to help!

Have a wonderful and happy planning!
