Jan 9-15th, 2011... my 1st WDW vacation. I don't know what to expect. Guide books say you HAVE to get to the park as it opens to have a chance to get on anything even in value seasons. Are line waits really over an hour for each ride? I am sick with worry.

    Hi Stephanie!

We have been to Disney during the month of January and have never found the lines-ups  to be over an hour.  Some rides do get busier then others but there is a way to help reduce your waiting time.  Many of the Disney rides offer fast pass services.  The beauty of the fast pass is that you insert your admission ticket into the Disney fast pass service machine  and it will print you a ticket with a return time for that ride. Return back to the ride when your time comes around and you can enjoy a minimal wait in line.

I have linked you with the fast pass page on the Disney website to give you more information about this service and a list of rides that offer the fast pass service.  Click here to visit the fast pass page.

    Have a magical vacation!
